DailyKill.com - Habit Tracker, Kanban Board and more
In order to keep track of my daily tasks, I used a mix of Google Sheets, Trello, and Google Calendar. I've always wanted a single app to keep track of my habits and also be able to save content or tasks.
Enter Vibe Coding
We're in 2025, and AI code generation has become so good that it allows us to turn those side projects in the back of our minds into reality with just a few prompts. I'm not a big fan of the term "vibe coding," but that's how everyone is referring to it.
There's still a lot of work involved in creating a full-fledged web app with authentication, payments, etc, but you can get pretty far, even if you are not an experienced coder. Gladly, I've been building websites for over a decade, so I can push through a project like this, even when AI fails to debug cryptic errors.
I designed the first few iterations of the app's UI with v0, deployed a self-hosted Supabase instance hosted on Hetzner, set up Stripe for payments and launched DailyKill.

Here are some of DailyKill's features:
- Habit Tracker ensures tasks are marked as completed on the correct day. There’s no way to retroactively mark a task as completed the next day.
- Scorecard shows a breakdown of completed versus remaining tasks.
- Progress is visualized in weekly, monthly, and yearly grids, similar to GitHub.
- Built-in Pomodoro timer to stay focused on tasks.
- Kanban board for managing tasks within each habit.
- Notes section for storing habit-related information.
- PWA, so the site can load as an app on desktop and mobile devices.
DailyKill can be used by anyone - no account required. Some features, like Kanban and Notes, are part of the pro subscription and do require signing up. Everything else is available without logging in. Just keep in mind that data is stored locally in your browser, so if you want to sync across multiple devices or back up to the cloud, you'll need to go pro.
Whether you're casually tracking habits or diving deep into productivity with tools like Kanban and Pomodoro, DailyKill keeps things simple and accessible. Start using it right away, and upgrade only if you need more power and flexibility.
